One of the most effective ad campaigns ever.
For me, it’s a simple way of saying: ‘stop thinking about what you want, and get off your ass and do something about it’.
Stop worrying about ‘doing it right’ and just do something. Get started. Change it around later.
If you want to do your great work, you need to start somewhere.
Next month I’ll be taking the Onward and Upward e-course from Lemon & Raspberry. A two-month workshop designed at getting you to do your great work is exactly what I need right now. I know what I want, but I need a little bit of help figuring out exactly how I want to get there. The O&A syllabus gives a rundown of the course aims. I’m particularly excited about the Find Your Passion and Make it Awesome lessons.
I want to hammer out some concrete goals and set a road map to get there. I’m not sure if it will work; but I’m just going to do it. The things that I’ll learn from trying to get to my goals will be just as valuable as reaching the goals themselves.
One of the best things about participating in a course like this is the great support system that is created. People coming together with common goals, common questions, and a desire to help other people.
If you’re interested in participating in this course (I’m pretty sure this is the last year Amy will be teaching it in this format), there’s a heavy discount (and tons of extras — like a free hour of creative consulting) if you purchase before Sunday night.
You can only measure your success against yourself, especially creatively. No two creative successes look the same. The only thing to be concerned with is: are you getting better? Do you like what you’re creating more and more each time, or do you need to change it up?
What are you doing to get started today?
