I’m looking for awesome crafters, creators, small businesses, scrapbookers, card-makers, cupcake bakers and more!
This is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY to get yourself and your brand out there at absolutely no cost. Whether your looking to show off your newest product, or bring in new blog readers — this can be the perfect way to find a new audience without having to shell out cash for advertising.
Here are a couple of ideas to get you started and remember please don’t be constrained by ‘holiday’. Think of the holiday season in broad terms, however YOU choose to celebrate the season.
Guest Post Ideas:
- Holiday DIY Craft Tutorial — Looking for ALL crafts!
- Holiday Memory-Keeping Project
- Any DIY Holiday Giftwrapping
- Holiday Themed Printables & Project
- Favorite Holiday Recipe & Story
- Anything that you feel will reach the readers of this blog
Hey small businesses! Looking to promote your newest products? Work them into a DIY tutorial, project or share a special story. This is a great place for you to authentically build your customer base.
The rukristin blog focuses on storytelling/documenting, crafting/DIYs, and general lady awesomeness, so please keep that in mind when pitching your guest post. That being said, anything goes if you can write it up in a way that will appeal to my readers (awesome lady people who love documenting their lives).
Some fine print: I WILL NOT be taking any payment for guest posts. All posts will stand on their own merit and there will be a disclaimer stating that in each post. There is an alternative opportunity for paid sponsorship at the bottom of this page.
That being said, I will only be accepting quality guest posts. You must have a proven record of quality writing (I shouldn’t have to edit your grammar and spelling). You must have quality photographs. I will only accept pitches for projects/tutorials that have not been duplicated elsewhere. Make your guest pitch count, this is a GREAT opportunity for your brand to be seen.
We are providing an alternative to Black Friday holiday shopping, so its okay to push your goods — but remember that the best advertising is not pushy.
I would like to have the schedule finalized before the end of the month so the deadline for guest blog pitches is FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25th midnight EST, and all final blog post drafts will be due no later than FRIDAY NOVEMBER 15th.
I will email back all pitches within 48 hours. If you do not hear from me, please submit the form again or drop me an email at email@example.com.
I realize that not everyone has the time to craft a well-written guest blog post (or just wants more exposure) and for that reason I will be offering limited sponsorship opportunities.
There are in-post sponsorship spots available for each of the 10 creative challenges (DIY/Papercrafting/Memory-Keeping challenges). These posts will be among the most clicked/read posts of the event and will be the perfect place advertise your holiday product or boost your brand name. Please see this link for more details.
PS — I will be promoting the heck out of this event for the next two months and I fully expect to have an amazing turn-out. My experience with the Find Your Voice workshop this summer has taught me some incredible ways to get the word out and to get people excited for an event. By helping me spread the word about this awesome blog party you’ll be helping promote your brand even further.
