Scrap Yourself: Me @ 29 Tag Mini-Album
Mini-albums as self-documentation.
In recent exciting news, I've rejoined the Basically Bare Design Team, and I wanted to reintroduce myself with a project that reflected who I am and what my style is right now. For my first project I used a Basically Bare mixed-media tag album to document some broad themes of who I am and how I'm feeling right now.
This album is a mixed-media album. It measures 5” x 3” and each page is a different surface: acrylic, heavyweight kraft chipboard, double-sided corrugated board, premium stiffened white felt, 140lb watercolor paper and heavy-weight unbleached canvas.
Some favorite things about this mini-album:
I used the PicStitch app and printed out six 2x2 black and white selfie photos to use in the mini-album, and the Studio Calico Cirque kits to add pops of color, embellishments, and stamping to each of the tag pages.
The acrylic cover. I love putting acrylic covers on mini-albums. It makes them more durable, and I love adding layers of embellishments on top of clear pages.
The stamped page. I used the gem stamp set from the Studio Calico Cirque Scrapbook kit to create the background of the canvas page. I used StazOn black ink for the outlining and Radiant Neon Ink in Electric Orange, Electric Pink, and Electric Yellow to add the color.
